veganmofo…Or VeganMoFo, one of the most amusing linguistic contractions I’ve come across in a while.

November is officially the month push yourself to write as much about food as possible. Inspired by NanoWriMo, the folks over at Brooklyn-based Post Punk Kitchen decided they’d just much rather write about food and vegan cooking. The site is a wonderful resource for vegans or even for those considering the vegan lifestyle (props to you — I tried it for a year and never quite clicked into it). The Post Punk Kitchen is actually a public access television show that is currently on hiatus, but which promises to be back with a vengeance and more rockin’ punk bands like the band Made Out of Babies (I’ll assume they’re not vegan, either).

The purpose of this post on BellyHealthy is just to give them a bit of a shout-out and an industry nod, if you will. I simply love classical cooking too much to stomach a month of being vegan again, and frankly my husband would pluck and roast me for Thanksgiving if I inflicted meatless food to our newlywed household. Next year, maybe. Maybe, like the dairy free gourmet recipes I’m posting here, he might not even notice.

Good luck to all you VeganMoFo participants!
